چکیده
Functional nanoparticles (NPs) are becoming important building blocks in the emerging fi elds of nanomedicine, nanolithography and nanoelectronics, among others. [ 1 ] Several unexpected nanoscale effects have been discovered for these new materials in recent years. [ 2–4 ] Useful synthetic routes to single-molecule polymeric NPs in the 2–15 nm size range with well-defi ned arrangement of functional groups are certainly scarce in spite of the enormous potential predicted for all-polymer nanocomposites. Metal-Free Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) Nanoparticles by Enamine “Click” Chemistry at Room Temperature
“Click” chemistry has become an efficient avenue to unimolecular polymeric nanoparticles through the self-crosslinking of individual polymer chains containing appropriate functional groups. Herein we report the synthesis of ultra-small (7 nm in size) polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) nanoparticles (NPs) by the “metal-free” cross-linking of PMMA-precursor chains prepared by reversible addition-frag...
متن کاملUnimolecular Nanoparticles via Carbon-Carbon “Click” Chemistry for All-Polymer Nanocomposites
We report for the first time the synthesis of unimolecular polystyrene-based nanoparticles (PS-NPs) under normal air atmosphere by direct carbon-carbon “click” chemistry (i.e., “self-click” chemistry). First, statistical poly(styrene-co-4-vinylbenzyl chloride) copolymers synthesized by RAFT polymerization were decorated in a facile manner with alkyne groups by reaction with potassium propiolate...
متن کاملClick Chemistry-Mediated Nanosensors for Biochemical Assays
Click chemistry combined with functional nanoparticles have drawn increasing attention in biochemical assays because they are promising in developing biosensors with effective signal transformation/amplification and straightforward signal readout for clinical diagnostic assays. In this review, we focus on the latest advances of biochemical assays based on Cu (I)-catalyzed 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddi...
متن کاملClick chemistry from organic halides, diazonium salts and anilines in water catalysed by copper nanoparticles on activated carbon.
An easy-to-prepare, reusable and versatile catalyst consisting of oxidised copper nanoparticles on activated carbon has been fully characterised and found to effectively promote the multicomponent synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles from organic halides, diazonium salts, and aromatic amines in water at a low copper loading.
متن کاملAlkyl surface modification of nanoporous silica SBA-15 by click chemistry to obtain triazole products
In this study, Santa Barbara Amorphous (SBA-15) mesoporous silica has been functionalized with aminopropyl groups that were converted to propargyl-bearing moieties through the reaction with propargyl bromide. The material then underwent an efficient Cu(I)-catalyzed azide alkyne click reaction with sodium azide in order to obtain the corresponding triazole products. The covalent modification of ...
